Rod Allen

    Rod Allen was a Four-Sport Letterman and a 1968 graduate of Rogers High School.  During his tenure at Rogers, Rod was selected to the All-Great Lakes League (2nd Team), Baseball Teams, All-City (1st Team) and All Ohio (1st Team) Baseball Squads.  He consistently led his teams in batting, runs scored, stolen bases and on-base percentages.

            A successful baseball career followed at Bowling Green State University.  Rod helped lead B.G. to its first Baseball Mid-American Conference Championship (1972), hitting over .325 and leading the team in walks and runs scored.

            While at Bowling Green, Rod was named to the All-Mid American Conference (2ND Team), two-year M.A.C. All-Academic (1st Team) and NCAA All-District 4 Team and Baseball Nominee for BGSU’s Athlete of the Year (1972).

            After a short stint playing semi-pro baseball in Arizona and Mexico, Rod continues to be blessed coaching High School Baseball in Arizona.  He has produced many young men striking gold in Major League Baseball.

            Rod and his wife Bonnie have three boys, Chris, Sean and Kyle.
